The best hummus in STL! Great date night scene with awesome shareable plates, delicious spritzers, and vegetarian options. Highly suggested place for anyone who lives here or is just passing through.
Would highly recommend coming here with a group and sharing a bunch of things. Everything we had was amazing but the stars to me were the Muhammara and the bacon wrapped figs. Their cocktails were also all really inventive and balanced and I loved that they did a variety of spritz’s not just the standard aperol.
The food is amazing! It was decently priced too, and the service was great. Only issue was space; it's very cramped, but so worth it for the food. The mushroom hummus, egg salad, smoked trout, and marinated beets were all delicious!
Fantastic atmosphere and incredible food. Everything tasted very fresh and flavorful. Only downfall was that I had a large party of 14 people and the service was lacking. They should have provided two waiters but instead they had one and we had multiple mishaps.
Delicious hummus and breads. Loved the briny chicken salad topped with delicately crunchy apples. Super cool vibe, seems lite a great place for small plates and drinks. Looks like a small place on the outside but there actually is quite a bit of seating, plus a very nice bar.
Sososo So good. Delightful taste!
I could eat the king of kings hummus and their amazing house-made pitas for breakfast, lunch, and dinner... every day!!
Great atmosphere, really enjoyed the hummus!
The combination of the food and the ambiance create a lovely atmosphere to enjoy a meal. Loved it.
I love the way this place is set up. I hope I can make it back and use the patio once this covid disaster is over
Phenomenally delicious! A gem of a restaurant at a wonderful intersection of St. Louis. Four of us had the lamb tagine, Aias sandwich, meatballs, and baruka (incorrect spelling, I’m sorry) with hummus and it was a wonderful afternoon meal. Awesome beer list too.
Great Mediterranean food! Hidden gem. Definitely try it. Octopus and cauliflower are great
Olio is the kind of place that I love stopping for a drink and a small plate after work or on the weekends. The cocktails and food are top notch and are complimented well by the general relaxed vibe that the space offers.
Olio is 5/5, every time. One of my favorite spots in St. Louis. Strong recommendation for the hummus, egg salad, and Jerusalem bagel (+labne), but you really can’t go wrong with anything here.
Cute place. Everything we ordered was simply superb. Muhammara was the best! Loved the ambience, great service.
Posting here and showing support from afar while we all wait for this thing to pass and getting back to 5-star restaurant fun.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Tower Grove area of St. Louis. Olio has a wide selection of Mediterranean dishes that have an interesting fusion twist to them. Everything we have tried here we have loved so far. The staff if very attentive and the environment quaint, cozy and modern.
#olio was exceptional. Great service. The bread is something I'll never forget. The soup of the day - red lentil - was multi-layered, delicate, and as perfect as anything I've had in NYC, LA, or London. The decor and old building are almost hypnotic. Excellent experience, highly recommended.I'm eating here again, and their pita and deluxe hummus with lamb are divine. Fraggle Rock this place is good!
Set your phone down right now. Don't bother with any other restaurants. Try this place right now. It's a small cozy place with extraordinary flavors. The Israeli bruschetta was crunchy and the tomatoes juicy. The turkey thighs was fall off the bone and juicy. Mixed with the rice and sauces it is absolutely fantastic. Service was phenomenal but even if it was lousy I would still eat here again and again.
The drinks were amazing. I prefer traditional Mediterranean food this was a little to modernized for me but it was still tasty.
Food was exceptional! Service was on point! We had egg salad with Anchovies, and it was crazy good! Everything was amazign....do it, got eat there! Had the humans with lamb shoukder in it and it was totally worth it!
Dining at OLIO was a great experience. The food was delicious, all the servers were very friendly and we loved their ambience! Will surely return soon!
The hostess was awesome! Food was delicious, as are the cocktails
I adore this place. Great patio, the wood fire oven is right there. Fresh fresh fresh ingredients. Great drink selection if you like trying new things. The bruschetta and egg salad were both fantastic. We did family style and did the bacon wrapped dates, braised lamb hummus, and the gyro sandwich as well. I recommend them all!
Amazing Mediterranean, fast service, tasty craft cocktails, and friendly staff. A bit upscale, but definitely worth the price.
Their food is always fresh and delicious.
Great small plates for sharing (or keeping to yourself...). We ordered plates as we went for a tasty, laid back evening. My personal favorite was the roasted sweet potato, followed closely by the arais (lamb sandwich).
Service was slow. Other than that a great restaurant! Good food, well done, and service is good. Small little place may be difficult to find a seat.
I took my daughter for lunch at OLIO whilst visiting her in St. Louis. She chose the restaurant as she had heard good things about the food. It was the first warm day of the year so the patio had just opened. The restaurant was very busy but the staff could not have been more attentive and conscientious. We sat on the patio, which was really pleasant and relaxing in the sunshine. We ordered a few small plates to share, including the chicken liver on brioche (see photo). My favorite plate was the citrus salad. It was so simple but delicious.
Great little fine. Wonderful food above what I expected. Old gas station turn into a a very nice restaurant. Food was delicious and service was exceptional!
Very fun lunch date in a tastefully converted restaurant from a historic automotive shop/garage.Unique small plates of food to share and enjoy. Excellent service and delicious menu items in a memorable dining experience. They have indoor seating, a large outdoor patio area, and a small indoor private room for parties or reservations. My wife and I liked this place very much.My only complaint is the parking lot is only big enough for about 6 cars. Otherwise, you’ll have to find street parking in the area.
It was alright. Overpriced for the quality and quantity. However, I am guessing that if you actually travel the Mediterranean... Such foods will always be inexpensive and plentiful there. Actually for the price that you pay for a dinner for five here, you could have flown to Greece for a winter week vacation. I am not even exaggerating.
The best cauliflower ever in hummus, hands down!!!
Dirty. Fruit flies, crumbs on serving surfaces, long ignored storage areas. If you have an open and visible kitchen it should be sparklingly clean. Price for what you get is quite nearly theft. We had two sandwich like meals with no sides, $16 each. Too loud music was played through a speaker that had seen better days. Cocktail was good, food flavor was good if I ignored the cleanliness issue.
Really great food and service. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The menu is filled with very interesting dishes. The hummus is amazing. Good espresso. A nice place to stop for lunch after visiting the botanical gardens. The decor is unique. One of St Louis more interesting options for unique food. It's also a great date place for dinner. Excellent cocktails and interesting wine menu. The connected restaurant Elaia is also a good option for a special occasion. This neighborhood is really becoming a distinctive spot with now several great restaurants and shops clustered together.
I got the salmon and the straciatella. Straciatella was excellent. Kingston drink was awesome!
The staff was attentive, the setting refreshing. We ordered the hummus with lamb, - the pita bread, baked on site is delicious. You'll need more than one for the hummus. The salad and small plates were small. The large plate, the lamb tagine, was beautifully seasoned, nicely prepared and presented but could have been larger.
The small plates here are wonderful! Such a cute place, it's not huge but a great experience. Service was good, bathrooms are clean. It's cold now but the patio is adorable and I can't wait to go back to hang out on that patio!
Excellent food, incredible flavors, and great atmosphere!
Food is amazing. Service is friendly. And the atmosphere is earthy and inviting. Came here on a work trip with coworkers and clients and everyone bonded over shared dishes and great drinks.
Incredible. The chef has great taste, his plates are built perfectly basic. Simple, and perfect. The flavors are exactly what they need to be. The breads are great and baked in house. It's a must try and you really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Shredded Lamb Hummus with fresh Pita,And the Bruschetta are the perfect starters.
Olio had a great atmosphere. Friendly staff, and quick service. We ordered a bunch of small plates to share. All of the dishes did not disappoint. Everything was delicious. Will definitely come back.
I absolutely love this place. I had to google a lot of ingredients on the menu because I am not familiar with the cuisine so it was a great new experience. I have been there a couple of times and was happy each time. My go to items are the deluxe hummus, and lamb stuffed pita!
Fresh and tasty dishes. Friendly and helpful service. I would definitely going back there again!!
A wonderful dining experience. I know the food is exceptionally good because I took my extremely picky 14 year old daughter, who never had any of the dishes we ordered, and loved each of them! The service was excellent as well. Our server gave us a brief history of the restaurant, explained each of the dishes we ordered, and was friendly and inviting to newcomers.
Best stop for hummus in STL. The deluxe hummus is amazing. Great for an early dinner or a snack.
I really loved their take on Mediterranean food. Their hummus is definitely top tier. Great place to meet with friends and enjoy a good cocktail.
Food was very good. Ambience is great but the metal stools are uncomfortable. Otherwise, nothing but good things to say.
Great spot for Mediterranean fusion food and drinks. Nice patio and really cool inside. Pretty small and if packed no seats inside. Love it
